Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang officially submitted his enumeration form on Monday as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision exercise. Completing the necessary paperwork in his native Soreng district, the Chief Minister sought to lead by example as the state works to update and verify its electoral records.
The Chief Minister finalized the process alongside Block Level Supervisor Jas Bahadur Tamang and Booth Level Officers Semi Hang Limboo and Deepson Tamang. Following the submission, he used social media to confirm the event, stating, "Today, I successfully submitted my SIR form" while in the presence of local election officials.
Tamang used the occasion to issue a broader appeal to all eligible citizens in Sikkim. He urged residents to complete their own enrolment and verification tasks within the designated timeline to maintain the integrity of the voting system. Emphasizing the civic duty involved in the update, he added, "Participating in this process helps ensure that our records remain accurate and strengthens our democratic system."
State authorities are currently managing the revision process across the region. They continue to call for full public cooperation to guarantee that electoral data remains current and that the entire exercise concludes smoothly.
