The joint operation by state and central forces resulted in the capture of Meitankeishangbam Jiban Meitei, a 43-year-old resident of Imphal East district, at his hideout in Khatkhati.

Following the arrest, authorities acted on intelligence gathered during the investigation to conduct raids in the Pangei and Yairipok areas of Imphal East. These efforts led to the seizure of three INSAS rifles, one Ex-Calibre rifle, two SLR rifles, two .303 rifles, one 9 mm pistol, one 7.65 mm pistol, 10 magazines, and 33 rounds of ammunition.

In other developments, Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam visited the Police Headquarters on Tuesday to meet with department personnel. Reflecting on the ongoing law and order situation, Konthoujam stated that he "commended officers and staff for their efforts in maintaining public safety."
