Samajwadi Party Plans to Contest Over 40 Seats in Manipur Assembly Elections

Imphal: The Samajwadi Party is gearing up for the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly elections with plans to field candidates in more than 40 constituencies. Konthoujam Bishworjit, the party's Manipur state president, announced the strategy during a reception ceremony held at Bamdiar for new members joining the organization.

Organized by the Samajwadi Party Manipur State Committee, the event highlighted the party's expanding influence across the region. Bishworjit stated that the influx of new members demonstrates a shift in public trust as voters seek alternatives to the current political landscape. He claimed the party serves as the primary force capable of bringing meaningful progress to the state.

Bishworjit noted that the increased momentum signals public dissatisfaction with the existing political arrangements. He expressed confidence that the party would emerge as a significant contender, saying, "People from different political parties have begun placing their trust in the Samajwadi Party."

The reception was attended by several senior figures, including State Vice-President Romeo Khundrakpam, as well as guests of honor Laishram Nobo and Kh. Nipamacha. Party workers from across Manipur also gathered to participate in the event.
