Manipur Youth League Pushes Political Engagement at University

Imphal: The Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) teamed up with the Political Science Society of Manipur University to host a one-day seminar titled Politics: Vote for National Regeneration. The event took place at the university's Department of Political Science. It brought together students, media figures, civil servants, and academics to debate the youth's role in the nation's future.

Professor Nameirakpam Bijen Meetei, who heads the political science department, kicked off the day with opening remarks. The MAYOL president delivered the keynote address. He pushed for informed voting and democratic action. "The programme brought together academicians, media professionals, civil servants and students to discuss the role of youth in politics and nation-building."

Retired IAS officer RK Nimai and Impact TV Chief Editor Yumnam Rupachandra spoke to the crowd. Historian Wangam Somorjit also took the stage.
