Shillong: Rangdajied United notched their second straight victory on September 17, topping Nangkiew Irat 2-1 at the SSA Stadium. The win moves Rangdajied from eighth to sixth in the Shillong Premier League standings. They now sit alongside Nongkseh, Nangkiew Irat, and Meghalaya Police at seven points each, separated only by goal statistics.

Mebannangkiew Thabah started the scoring in the 18th minute. He tapped in a cross from Gideon Mukhim, who pounced on a rebound after Mebatskhem L Lyngkhoi hit the woodwork. Nangkiew Irat leveled the score in the 32nd minute. Ronaldkydon L Nonglait connected with a high ball and blasted it home, leaving the keeper helpless.

Both sides traded chances throughout a physical contest. Akash Thapa made a key save for Nangkiew Irat in his season debut, and a Rangdajied goal was disallowed for offside shortly after. Keeper Meshan Banjop Sumer fumbled a ball early for Rangdajied but avoided disaster. Jefferson Pakyntein and Yhoto Lohe both saw efforts turned away for Nangkiew Irat.

Micky Marwein broke the deadlock in the 81st minute. He collected the ball on the left, firing a sharp finish into the far corner. After the match, the team emphasized their improved focus. Rangdajied showed better passing and sharper decision-making than in their winless opening matches. The victory leaves Nangkiew Irat in seventh place. On September 18, Laitkor faces Sawmer at 3pm to keep their relegation battle alive.
