Langsning Storms Back to Sink Rangdajied United in Shillong Premier League

Shillong: Langsning secured a 3-1 win against Rangdajied United at the SSA Stadium in Shillong on August 22. This opening Round 3 match of the Shillong Premier League 2026 saw the defending champions recover from an early deficit. Franky Dkhar drew first blood for Rangdajied in the 25th minute with a precise low strike. It silenced the crowd. Mebanshngain Kurkalang answered for Langsning in stoppage time before the break, nodding home a set-piece to level the score.

Rangdajied started aggressive. Mebannangkiew Thabah fired over the bar in the seventh minute. Samuel L Kynshi later hammered a free-kick against the woodwork. A defensive mix-up nearly gifted Rangdajied a goal, but Mebanshngain scrambled to block Freelyson Tariang. Langsning shifted momentum after halftime. The 65th minute proved decisive. Allen L Nongbri whipped a corner toward the far post, finding Syed Ahmed who headed the ball into the net to take the lead.
