Pujak Brahman Parishad Announces New Executive Leadership Team

Kohima: The Pujak Brahman Parishad, a community organization based in Dimapur, has officially formed a new Executive Committee to lead the group for the 2026 to 2029 term. The restructuring process, which began in October 2025, aimed to enhance the effectiveness and unity of the organization established in 2010.

Subrata Bhattacharjee will lead the new team as president, supported by vice-presidents Swapan Chakraborty and Jyotish Bhattacharjee. Sushanta Bhattacharjee serves as the general secretary, with Mridul Chakraborty and Shankar Chakraborty acting as joint secretaries. Partha Sarathi Chakraborty takes the role of treasurer, while Ankur Sharma Biswas serves as assistant treasurer. Several other members were appointed to roles including media coordination, organizing, and executive oversight.

The organization also introduced a three-member Advisory Board featuring Nityaranjan Bhattacharjee, Swami Chinmoyananda Ji Maharaj, and Bishnu Bhattacharjee. Leadership expressed appreciation for their predecessors, specifically noting the contributions of the founder committee, which included Amalandu Biswas, Sunil Chakraborty, and others who established the group's foundation.

Looking toward the future, the new committee plans to focus on education, cultural preservation, and social welfare. Reaffirming their dedication to the organization's mission, the committee stated they would work to ensure they continue to "focus on promoting unity, education, cultural preservation, spiritual values, social welfare and greater participation of younger generations in community activities." The group will also maintain its historical records and digital archives as part of its ongoing institutional heritage.
