Imphal: A massive sit-in protest erupted at Changanggei Community Hall on Tuesday. Demonstrators demanded justice for six Liangmai Naga civilians recently abducted and killed. The Justice for the Six Sons of Koubru Joint Committee organized the event. Dozens of civil society groups joined the rally. They formed a human chain to highlight their cause.

The crowd displayed placards with pointed messages. One read, "Arrest the Named Killers. Prosecute the Guilty." Participants called for immediate action against Leilon Vaiphei Village Chief Lalboi Vaiphei and Manipur Police officer Thanggilian Vaiphei. They also named members of the Kuki National Front-Presidential as suspects.

Committee representatives addressed the gathering to clarify their intent. The movement does not target any specific community. Instead, they seek impartial law enforcement. The group presented five formal demands to the government. They want the Suspension of Operations agreement with militant groups scrapped. They also insist that the state declare the Kuki National Front-Presidential a terrorist organization. Beyond arrests, protesters called for the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen. They also demanded the eviction of illegal settlements on protected land.

The committee promised to keep fighting until the state responds. Peaceful protests will continue. They need the government to show that nobody sits above the law.
