Principal Denies Allegations of Land Occupation in Assam

Guwahati: Bhavesh Sharma, the principal of Ananta Academy in the Bajali district of Assam, has publicly refuted recent allegations of illegal land occupation. During a press conference at the school on May 30, Sharma characterized the accusations as entirely false and baseless. He specifically denied reports involving the alleged abduction of a local resident named Niru Das and claims that he provided misleading information to authorities regarding a No Objection Certificate.

Sharma explained that he purchased a plot of land in his native village of Gergeria eight to ten years ago. He noted that personal issues prevented him from completing the required land mutation process in a timely manner. According to the principal, local resident Dimbeswar Das and his wife are exploiting this administrative delay to manufacture a conspiracy against him.

The school head claimed these accusations are a calculated attempt to damage his professional reputation and public standing. Prior to this response, Dimbeswar Das had publicly accused the principal of land encroachment and other irregularities. As of now, local law enforcement and district officials have not issued an official statement regarding the situation.
