Police Seize 1.5 Crore in Narcotics from Guwahati Operation

Guwahati: Bashistha Police grabbed 19 packets of suspected narcotics in Seuj Nagar during a Friday raid. The haul carries a street value of approximately Rs 1.5 crore. It is a big win. Officers took Bhaven Pegu into custody at the scene. Pegu hails from Machkhowa in the Dhemaji district.

This bust arrives just two days after authorities pulled a separate shipment off the streets valued at Rs 2 crore. The department is tightening the screws on the local drug trade. Police are currently working to trace the origins of the contraband and identify other members of this trafficking ring. Detailed lab results on the exact nature of the seized substances remain pending. Authorities noted the operation reflects their ongoing commitment to sweep illegal goods from the city.
