Kohima: The Police Baptist Church Mon Women Ministry recently concluded a three-day seminar dedicated to fostering stronger marriages and deeper understanding among local couples. Held from May 22 to 24, the event drew more than 150 participants under the theme Strengthening the Bond.
Resource persons Rev. Dr. Timothy and Dr. Konnya Konyak from Community Builders Guwahati led the sessions. They provided insights based on biblical principles and practical wisdom to help couples navigate their relationships. Key topics included the importance of open communication, managing household finances, maintaining faithfulness, and the core concept of marriage as a covenant rather than a contract.
The church youth department supported the seminar by organizing praise and worship, recreational activities, and media presentations. These contributions helped create an engaging environment for all attendees. Participants left the event with a positive outlook, expressing interest in future programs that focus on building families rooted in faith, mutual trust, and respect.
