Itanagar: A dance troupe from Arunachal Pradesh recently became the target of alleged racial abuse in Patna, an incident that has ignited widespread indignation across social media platforms. The confrontation reportedly occurred on Thursday as the group attempted to access a public restroom facility. According to online reports, an attendant blocked their entry and demanded identification, which quickly escalated into a verbal altercation involving derogatory racial slurs, including terms like "Momos," "Chinese," and "Chinki."

The distressing encounter was recorded on video, capturing one of the performers expressing her deep fear and frustration. She noted that such discriminatory experiences make travelers from Northeast India feel unsafe while visiting other parts of the country. Online observers have since demanded swift action against those responsible for the harassment, highlighting the recurring nature of such targeted discrimination.
