Itanagar: Seijosa police are hunting for the identity of a man found dead near the Dibru River. Locals discovered the body downstream in Goloso village at roughly 8 am on October 16. Officials from the Pakke Kessang district confirmed the male victim remains unidentified and his age is currently unknown. No visible injuries marked the body, leading investigators to suspect drowning as the primary cause of death.

Authorities initially moved the man to the Seijosa Community Health Centre for postmortem checks. They later transferred the body to the mortuary at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences in Naharlagun, as the local clinic lacked proper storage facilities. Seijosa Police Station registered the matter as an unnatural death under UD Case No. 01/2026, citing Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.

Police have sent out a hue and cry notice across Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Officers asked local stations to cross-reference missing-person registers with this case. Officer-in-Charge ASI Lakhaman Sahu requested that concerned authorities provide any relevant information to the station immediately. As the investigation continues, the department issued a public plea: "Anyone with information about the deceased has been asked to contact Seijosa Police Station in Pakke Kessang district."
