Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Chakma Students Union denounced violent clashes during a recent hearing in Bordumsa. They want authorities to confirm the origin of the weapon and check its licensing status immediately. Officials must act if they find a legal gun was used in a crime.

"If any licensed firearm is found to have been misused, the competent authority may take appropriate action as permissible under law," the group stated. They asked the public to ignore unverified social media posts and videos. Misinformation drives tension. People should check reliable sources before sharing claims or leaving comments that threaten others.

The union expects the public to practice restraint. They want the hearing process to move forward without further interference. "Let us remain calm, verify the facts, maintain peace, and allow the lawful hearing process to continue without interference," the group said.
