NSCN (IM) Issues Urgent Plea for Naga Unification

Kohima: The NSCN (IM) issued a formal clarion call on October 7, demanding that the Naga people and all comrades in arms unify as one family and one nation. The group maintains that the Naga national struggle remains centered on the sovereignty of Nagalim. They insist that unity is vital to protect historical rights.

Leadership dismissed the current geographic split of their land. They argue that foreign powers arbitrarily partitioned ancestral territories between India and Myanmar in 1953. The organization asserts, "There is neither Eastern Nagalim nor Western Nagalim; there is only Nagalim."

The group claims this mission requires ending political and military bondage. They pledged to seek peace without resorting to total capitulation. Any internal opposition to this reconciliation process is viewed as the work of the common enemy. The leadership believes these dissenting voices will eventually fade as the true nature of such forces comes to light.

Nagas must stop dwelling on past mistakes. The NSCN (IM) expects the people to ignore imaginary boundaries to achieve a glorious tomorrow. They remain committed to pursuing these objectives until the nation is free.
