Kohima: The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress (NPMC) has launched a nationwide postcard campaign to pressure the government into implementing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, 2023. The organization held an event at Congress Bhavan in Kohima on May 29 to mobilize support for the initiative.
The campaign centers on the 33 percent reservation mandate for women in legislative bodies. By utilizing a postcard strategy, the NPMC aims to expedite the enforcement of the act, which was designed to increase female representation in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies.
