Niuland Mini Legal Services Camp Assists Over 250 Residents

Kohima: The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority, working alongside the Dimapur District Legal Services Authority and local administration, hosted a mini legal services camp in Niuland on Saturday. The event provided essential government schemes and legal aid to 259 attendees.

NSLSA Member Secretary Neiko Akami opened the event by outlining the various services available to the public. He emphasized the importance of equal access to the law, stating, "no individual should be deprived of justice or legal assistance due to lack of access."

Niuland Deputy Commissioner T.L. Kiusumong Tikhir praised the effort and urged vulnerable community members to utilize these resources. He confirmed that the district administration remains committed to supporting future welfare initiatives. Dimapur DLSA Chairman and Principal District and Sessions Judge N. Longshithung Ezung welcomed the attendees to the day-long program, which featured a variety of departments.

Beneficiaries received assistance with services ranging from Aadhaar registration and tribal identity documentation to specialized support from the Agriculture, Fisheries, Labour, and Social Welfare departments. Other participating agencies included the District Child Protection Unit and the State Bank of India. The camp concluded with a vote of thanks from Dimapur DLSA Secretary and Chief Judicial Magistrate Atoka Achumi.
