Kohima: Northeast Frontier Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides launched a massive aid drive for families hit by recent floods in Assam. The effort centered on a collection booth at the NFR headquarters in Maligaon, which operated from July 27 through July 31.
Principal Chief Personnel Officer of NFR inaugurated the project alongside senior officers and staff members. Workers donated essential supplies to bolster the relief stock. NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Kapinjal Kishore Sharma stated, "Members of the NFR Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mariani District Association, distributed relief materials to affected families in Sibsagar and Jorhat districts."
Volunteers hit the ground in those districts to hand out the goods. They spoke with local residents to confirm that supplies reached the families who needed them most.
