New NITI Incubation Center Opens in Dimapur to Foster Nagaland Startups

Kohima: A new NITI Incubation Center opened its doors in Dimapur this Friday, marking a significant step toward bolstering the startup ecosystem in Nagaland. Supported by the Department of Industries and Commerce, the facility at Marwari Patti aims to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development for youth across the state and the wider Northeast region.

During the inaugural ceremony, Director of Industries and Commerce P Tokugha Sema praised the initiative for its commitment to building a robust entrepreneurial culture. He encouraged local founders to take advantage of available government resources, stating, The department has sponsored seven incubation centres and expressed confidence that the initiative would benefit the youth of the state.

NITI Chief Executive Officer Er. Rishav Sethi used his keynote address to underscore the importance of integrating artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and professional mentorship into the local business landscape. The center currently supports seven startups operating across sectors like technology, education, and IT-enabled services.

Beyond providing office infrastructure and networking opportunities, the organization introduced four new products, including the NITI Dashboard and a mascot, to expand its service reach. The event also featured a preview of NITI Academy, a forthcoming project designed to improve STEM education standards throughout Nagaland.
