Agartala: Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy announced a new orphanage for girls in Chaintail village, located within the Chandipur constituency. The project aims to protect the most vulnerable children. It offers more than a roof. The facility will provide schooling, cultural values, and a stable family environment for girls who lost their parents at birth.
The curriculum extends beyond basic academics. Students will learn music, dance, art, and computer skills. Staff members will serve as both teachers and guardians, helping children with health needs and academic challenges. Roy believes in their potential. "Here, every girl is seen not as a burden but as a possibility," Roy said.
The minister framed the orphanage as a factory of strength. He expects the institution to produce doctors, teachers, officers, and artists. Raising girls strengthens the future. Roy called for public support to help these children succeed. He noted that the collective responsibility of society ensures no child feels abandoned or alone.
