Kohima: Badze Leshüki, an alternative learning centre situated in Kimho, Kohima Village, officially opened on June 4, 2026. Dr. Kekhrie Yhome, advisor for School Education, inaugurated the facility, which operates under the Centre for Indigenous Knowledge and Alternative Learning initiative of the Dr. K and T Keditsu Foundation.

The school aims to merge traditional Naga knowledge with contemporary educational theories. Its curriculum focuses on play-based, multigrade, and transdisciplinary learning, while remaining compliant with the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage 2023. The campus itself is located within a forest setting to promote environmental consciousness.

Dr. Yhome praised the facility for its innovative approach to modern academic hurdles. "The school’s openness in allowing officers of the School Education Department to observe multigrade learning in practice" highlights its commitment to transparent, locally grounded instruction, he noted.

During the ceremony, founding trustee Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu handed over the institution to the Foundation, and Rev. Keviyiekielie Linyu performed the consecration. Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, advisor to the chief minister, also spoke at the event, underscoring the importance of anchoring children to their cultural heritage through education.
