Guwahati: Navi Mumbai International Airport and Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport have secured places on the 2026 Prix Versailles list of the world's most beautiful airports. Both facilities, operated by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, were selected for their focus on sustainability, passenger experience, and architectural design.

Navi Mumbai's Terminal 1 earned recognition for its lotus-inspired aesthetic, which blends futuristic technology with art to serve as a modern gateway for India. Meanwhile, the Terminal 2 design at the Guwahati airport draws inspiration from the region's biodiversity through a bamboo orchid concept that emphasizes biophilic elegance and functional sustainability.

These Indian hubs join five other international airports on the list, including facilities in China, Germany, Cambodia, and the United States. The Prix Versailles, held annually at UNESCO headquarters in Paris since 2015, highlights modern terminals that move beyond conventional design to incorporate cultural and environmental elements.

A spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings Ltd stated, "We are honoured to see our airports recognised on a global platform and remain committed to delivering world-class experiences that position India among the leading aviation markets of the world."

Three selections from the current 2026 list will eventually receive a World Title in either the interior or exterior category during an awards ceremony later this year.
