Nagaland Public Service Commission Earns National Award for Digital Integration

Kohima: The Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) scored a national win. The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) awarded the commission a Certificate of Appreciation for linking its recruitment portal with DigiLocker. This move makes Nagaland the first state in Eastern India, and only the third in the entire country, to run both the DigiLocker Issuer and Requester models for hiring.

Nand Kumarum, CEO of the NeGD under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, signed the award. He credited the commission for its role in the nation's Digital Public Infrastructure. The move pushes paperless governance to the front line. Applicants can now verify documents with ease. The commission expects the system to cut down on physical paperwork while bumping up transparency and speed across the board. The official citation notes the move is intended to improve the recruitment process through "secure digital authentication." By removing manual checks, the NPSC hopes to make job applications faster and more reliable for every candidate.
