Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav toured the National Institute of Technology campus in Chumoukedima on July 30. He reviewed the institute's academic achievements, research output, and physical infrastructure. The director in-charge, Dr. R. Kumar, led the Governor through a presentation detailing the campus roadmap and recent progress.
The Governor inspected several facilities during his visit. He toured academic buildings, student hostels, and the sports complex. He met with faculty and students to discuss the role of the institute in national development.
Addressing the crowd, the Governor highlighted the value of character. He said, "Alongside academic excellence, qualities such as innovation, adaptability, integrity and a commitment to public service were essential in today's rapidly evolving world." He urged students to push boundaries through technology, entrepreneurship, and public service. He expects graduates to solve real-world problems.
Dr. Kumar emphasized the school's mission to drive regional development. He described the campus as a green, pollution-free space for growth. The institute plans to keep expanding its resources to become a premier center of excellence. Registrar Dr. Manoj Prabhakar delivered the final vote of thanks to close the event.
