Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav recently visited the 50-bed Integrated AYUSH Hospital near Kohima to evaluate healthcare delivery. He described the facility as a "centre of healing and hope" for the state. The hospital opened on March 4, 2022, as the nation's third of its kind. It functioned as the primary COVID-19 center during the pandemic.

The hospital sits 24 kilometres from Kohima. It serves eight villages through a 43-person staff. Records show over 10,050 outpatient visits and 560 inpatient treatments through June 2026. The facility offers Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, and Homoeopathy services to the local population.

Yadav shifted his focus to the Tribal Affairs Department at the Raj Bhavan. He reviewed schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana and the Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan. Tribal officials also presented data on current development projects.

Three Eklavya Model Residential Schools are running now. They hold 751 students who hit a 100 per cent pass rate in the 2026 HSLC exams. New school construction is stalling, however. Land disputes, along with missing power and water hookups, keep progress slow. The Governor ordered better inter-departmental cooperation to finish these sites.
