Advisor Khamo opens new futsal court in Chetheba

Kohima: Nagaland Advisor for CAWD Kudecho Khamo opened a new futsal court in Chetheba on Saturday. The project sits in the Phek district and was funded through the MLA Local Area Development Programme. It marks a push for better facilities in the area.

Khamo thanked local landowners for providing the site for the court. He spoke to the crowd about the mission of his office. He said, "The mandate given to the ruling government was to work for the aspirations and interests of the people."

The advisor pushed for local unity. He told residents that progress requires collective effort and the willingness to make sacrifices. He also told the crowd to protect public assets to get the most use out of them.

Beyond sports, Khamo talked about the local economy. He urged residents to work with banks and start new businesses. He also suggested that people keep track of government welfare schemes to get the benefits they deserve.

Chetheba Town Welfare Council chairman Setsoyi Keyho thanked the advisor for the turf. Keyho noted that the town had wanted this facility for a long time. The advisor has also backed work on the local Extra Assistant Commissioner office and a new hostel for working women.

Khamo noted the economic potential of sports. He said the sector keeps youth busy and away from trouble. Public leaders and football fans attended the event.
