Nagaland Chief Minister Urges Release of Remaining Hostages Following Kuki Captives' Freedom

Imphal: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has welcomed the release of 14 Kuki hostages and called for the immediate, safe return of six Naga civilians still held in captivity. He expressed optimism that this humanitarian gesture will serve as a catalyst for reconciliation and stability in Manipur.

The release was facilitated by the United Naga Council and various civil society organizations. Rio highlighted the significance of the move, noting that it reflects a shared respect for human life.
