Kohima: The Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj shipped essential supplies to Mon district victims after severe floods and landslides devastated the area. Working through the Konyak Union Dimapur, the group sent food, bedding, and school gear to those struggling to recover. The delivery marks a major push under the Mon District Flood and Landslide Relief Drive.
Relief packages included mattresses, bedsheets, and mosquito nets to help displaced families stabilize. Organizers also packed boxes with pencils, pens, notebooks, and pencil cases to keep local students in the classroom. They added biscuit cartons to the load to address immediate hunger needs.
The Samaj thanked donors for the swift response. In a formal statement, the organization noted, "The community's collective support has brought comfort, safety and hope to affected families during a difficult time."
The group is now calling for more donations. They want members and well-wishers to keep sending supplies to fuel the ongoing recovery work. Officials say each donation provides a boost to residents hit by the disaster. The Samaj maintains that this effort shows their firm commitment to solidarity and compassion for the people of Mon.
