Itanagar: The Naga People’s Network Forum held its 4th Virtual Conclave on June 20, 2026, under the Naga Youth Alliance. The event drew 156 participants from across Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Myanmar, and Delhi. Attendees included diverse representatives from youth bodies, student organizations, and civil society groups, all gathered to address recent violence and ongoing regional challenges.
Key themes focused on the current crisis, justice, and collective responsibility. Speakers examined issues ranging from the denial of constitutional rights and economic blockades to the status of ancestral lands. Participants emphasized the need to preserve truth, safeguard Naga identity, and transition from emotional reactions to organized, constructive action. During the session, the group highlighted the critical importance of unity, stating, "unity among Nagas is not a sign of weakness but of wisdom, maturity, and responsibility."
The forum included contributions from various organizations, such as the Global Naga Forum, the Naga Students’ Federation, and the All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur. A special message from Rev. Dr. Wati Aier of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation encouraged the younger generation to transcend internal divisions and prioritize collective understanding. Participants also underscored the necessity of leadership accountability and challenged attendees to shift their focus by asking, "What can I do for my Naga people, rather than what my people can do for me?"
The conclave concluded with a commitment to strengthening humanitarian and research initiatives. Organizers reaffirmed that the network aims to collaborate with existing political, religious, and community institutions rather than compete with them. The session ended with a call to action guided by the motto of serving the Naga nation with responsibility and unity.
