Kohima: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) held a solemn candlelight vigil at Solidarity Park in Kohima on Thursday to honor the memory of two individuals tragically killed during an ambush on April 18. The incident, which took place along National Highway-202 in the Ukhrul district, has sparked widespread condemnation and protests throughout the region as communities seek justice for the victims.

During the commemorative event, NSF President Mteisuding Zeliang issued a firm warning to Kuki militants, cautioning them against exploiting the measured silence of the Naga people. Zeliang emphasized that the restraint currently exercised by the community should not be misconstrued as a sign of vulnerability or weakness, and he demanded an immediate end to the cycle of violence against civilians.
