Guwahati: Morigaon District Commissioner Anamika Tewari has earned national recognition, securing a spot among India's top 100 District Magistrates and Commissioners in a 2026 survey conducted by Fame India magazine. This honor highlights her significant contributions to governance, public administration, and development projects within the Morigaon district.
A senior administrative officer from the 1997 batch, Tewari has focused heavily on grassroots outreach since taking her post. Her hands-on approach to leadership is perhaps best illustrated by her efforts to bolster local education. After several schools showed poor results in the High School Leaving Certificate examinations, she visited classrooms to meet with students, teachers, and parents, even participating in teaching sessions to improve the academic climate.
