Kohima: Thirty volunteers and two Programme Officers from Modern College in Piphema traveled to Berawtlang, Aizawl, to represent Nagaland at the Northeast NSS Festival. The five day event ran from September 21 to 25, 2026. Students from every corner of the Northeast gathered to focus on youth leadership, cultural exchange, and national integration.

The Nagaland team jumped into the action. They competed in extempore speech, cultural song, dance, video presentations, and quiz challenges. Beyond the stage, the group tackled disaster management drills, self defense classes, and community cleanup efforts. They even hit the road for educational sightseeing throughout the area.

The festival gave participants a chance to trade ideas with peers and sharpen their sense of public duty. Everyone returned home with new experiences and a stronger commitment to the goals of the National Service Scheme. College leadership praised the group for their hard work and for honoring the organization motto, "Not Me, But You."
