Aizawl: Mizoram Governor and retired General V.K. Singh recently highlighted the contrast between the integrity of military examination systems and the vulnerability of civilian entrance exams. Speaking at the Manekshaw Centre during the 'Sena Samwad' event hosted by 'Uniform Unveiled,' Singh asserted that while high-profile examinations like NEET face significant risks of paper leaks, the armed forces maintain rigorous, transparent, and absolutely fair recruitment protocols.

The Governor's comments were framed against the backdrop of the recent NEET (Undergraduate) examination controversy. Following allegations of irregularities in the May 3 test, the government was compelled to cancel the results and schedule a re-examination for June 21. Singh, a former Chief of the Army, used the situation to emphasize that discipline and institutional integrity remain the core hallmarks of the military, distinguishing it from other public sectors.

During the event, which brought together students from across Delhi and the National Capital Region, Singh also reflected on the unique bond of trust shared between officers and soldiers. He noted that the strength of the armed forces is rooted in mutual reliability, where soldiers and officers operate with a shared sense of duty and commitment. Bihar Governor Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (retd) also attended the event to engage with the youth participants.
