Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma gathered with 70 visiting youths on Wednesday to talk about the future of India. He spoke at the Chief Minister’s conference hall in Aizawl. The group included 50 participants from Goa under the Yuva Sangam Youth Exchange Programme and 20 students from Chandigarh via the Ashta Lakshmi Darshan initiative.
Lalduhoma challenged the delegates to build bridges between states. He told them, "the youth as one of the country’s most valuable assets and said they would play a vital role in achieving India’s ambition of becoming a developed nation by 2047." He believes these face-to-face meetings help outsiders appreciate cultural variety and grow a tighter sense of national identity.
Delegates peppered the Chief Minister with questions about his plans. They asked how to protect communal harmony and probed for details on the Transform Mizoram Vision 2047 economic roadmap. They also explored the specific traditions defining Mizo society. Lalduhoma told the visitors to get out and see the state, hoping they leave with meaningful connections and good memories of their time in Mizoram.
