Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma met with eight new police officer trainees on July 8. He told the 26th batch of the Mizoram Police Service to prioritize discipline and professionalism above all else. Policing carries weight. It demands total commitment to the public.
Lalduhoma spoke from his own past as an IPS officer. He emphasized that personal character serves as the backbone of a career in law enforcement. "Police officers encounter the hardships and suffering of people more often than their moments of happiness and success. Policing is, therefore, one of the most important forms of public service," he said.
He challenged the trainees to improve their skills beyond standard training. He told them to get better at using information technology. They must also work on their Hindi language proficiency. These tools will help them handle their duties with greater precision. The Chief Minister believes these new officers will bring real value to the state police force.
