Guwahati: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma met with his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Friday to address rising border tensions. The talks centered on the Lapangap area, where friction between neighboring villages has caused recent concern for local residents.

Senior officials from both state governments joined the discussion to develop a strategy for stability. CM Sangma described the meeting as positive, noting that both administrations are committed to resolving the situation peacefully.
