Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave a thumbs up to the Hindi devotional film Hanuman Ansh this past Friday, September 4. He spent the week listening to the soundtrack on repeat. The film explores the life of Neem Karoli Baba. It hit Indian theaters on August 7.
Sarma took to social media to call the movie a high-quality piece of cinema. He noted how the project leans into Indian culture and local beliefs. The story centers on the spiritual journey of the saint. Actor Shobinaw Satyaa plays the lead role, while Vishal Chaturvedi wrote and directed the project.
Sarma credited the film for showcasing the strength of authentic storytelling. He wrote, "This is the power of genuine storytelling of India's spiritual miracles, of the faith of people and Bharat's eternal Sanatan Sanskriti that captivates all and illuminates the path of every seeker."
The film picked up steam through word of mouth. Now, the team looks abroad. International markets receive the movie on September 11. Sarma closed his statement with a nod to the filmmaker, wishing for similar projects to follow.
