Manipur Police Arrest Four Suspects in Militant and Drug Raids

Imphal: Manipur Police hauled in four suspects during two distinct operations on the same day. Officers arrested two People's Liberation Army militants in Imphal. They apprehended Maibam Arun, 50, and Wahengbam Bimol, 26, at Haobam Marak Lourembam Leikai. The police seized a Honda Activa scooter from the men.

Separately, Churachandpur district police stopped a silver Ford EcoSport on Tedim Road. They found 373 grams of suspected brown sugar inside the car. The haul consisted of 30 soap cases. Officers arrested Lettinthang Vaiphei, 21, and Lungoulen Haokip, 33, at Koite village. Authorities confirmed that "further investigation into both cases is underway."
