Manipur Chief Minister Discusses Infrastructure Needs with Liangmai Naga Council

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh met with a delegation from the Liangmai Naga Council at the Secretariat on June 14 to address developmental needs within their community. The delegation, led by Council President Timothy Wijunamai, included Speaker Kawidinlungbou, Chairman Lungjinbuibou, and social activist Lungphakbou.

During the meeting, the council presented a proposal for an eight-kilometre road project intended to improve connectivity for residents in Liangmai-inhabited regions. The discussion also covered broader socio-economic goals, infrastructure improvements, and general welfare measures for the community.

The Chief Minister assured the group that the state government would review their road proposal with due seriousness. Following the meeting, he emphasized the government's ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of all residents, stating that the administration is dedicated to "engaging with various communities and addressing their developmental aspirations through constructive dialogue and inclusive governance."
