Mangkolemba Official Orders Businesses Open Despite Shutdown Call

Kohima: Mangkolemba Additional Deputy Commissioner Moakumzuk Tzudir issued a firm order on November 4. He commanded all government offices, schools, banks, and businesses to keep their doors open on November 5. He expects total compliance. This directive directly challenges a general shutdown call issued by the CSO Mangkolemba.

The CSO had sent a letter on November 3 announcing a public meeting and a town-wide shutdown starting at 9:00 am. They wanted businesses and schools locked tight. Tzudir disagreed. He pointed out the group failed to get any written permission from the authorities. The official labeled the shutdown effort unauthorized and without any legal standing.

Tzudir did not mince words regarding enforcement. He warned that any person or group attempting to force a closure or block public movement would face consequences. The order clearly states that anyone violating this mandate will face "strict legal action under the relevant provisions of the law."
