Kohima: Kohima District Election Officer B Henok Buchem ordered election supervisors to master Election Commission of India guidelines this week. The training took place at the DC Conference Hall on Tuesday. Officials must ensure a credible revision process. The Special Intensive Revision aims to include all eligible voters while removing those who no longer qualify.

Buchem warned that the Election Commission of India tracks the work for any mistakes. Staff must follow all rules. These supervisors, along with Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, will eventually train Booth Level Officers. They need a deep grasp of the facts because they deal with political parties, civil society groups, and the public. Buchem told the staff to keep instructions and common questions "at their fingertips" to answer concerns with confidence.

State authorities are currently running training sessions for all relevant officials. The sessions cover the specific procedures and documentation required for the upcoming electoral roll update.
