Imphal: A delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency met with Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho at the Civil Secretariat in Imphal on Monday. They discussed a new project designed to boost local livelihoods through community-based watershed development across the state.

Wakamatsu told the Deputy Chief Minister: "I expressed desire to share Japan's experience with Manipur and emphasised the importance of mutual partnership for shared benefits."
Dikho welcomed the proposal. He noted that the plan covers every district in Manipur. The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the existing ties between the regions, mentioning that many local youths currently work or train in Japan. He promised full state support for the project.
