Itanagar: The India Meteorological Department has issued weather warnings across Arunachal Pradesh as heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to sweep through the region over the coming days. Officials placed Lower Siang district under an orange alert for Monday, signaling a high risk of adverse conditions.

A yellow alert is also in effect for several other districts, including Papum Pare, West Siang, East Siang, Upper Subansiri, Longding, Tirap, and Namsai. Residents in these areas should prepare for severe weather as meteorologists expect the rain and thunderstorm activity to persist through Tuesday and Wednesday.

Local authorities are urging people living near rivers, in hilly areas, and in zones prone to landslides to exercise caution. The public is advised to stay alert and follow necessary safety protocols until the weather conditions improve.
