Agartala: ILS Hospitals Agartala joined forces with the International Oncology Cancer Institute to host a heartfelt celebration for National Cancer Survivors Day. Nearly 25 cancer survivors gathered at the facility to share their personal stories of resilience and recovery, emphasizing how early diagnosis and consistent family support helped them overcome their illnesses.
Dr. Devleena Gangopadhyay, the lead medical oncologist at ILS-IOCI, used the platform to urge patients to prioritize regular medical checkups. She praised the survivors for their strength while encouraging those still in treatment to maintain a positive outlook. Other medical professionals in attendance included Dr. Gautam Hazarika, Dr. Gautam Majumder, Dr. Debanjan Chakraborty, Dr. Raphael, and Dr. Paramita Debnath.
Hospital leadership noted that the ongoing partnership between ILS Hospitals and IOCI has bolstered regional medical infrastructure. By offering specialized oncology services locally, the hospital has helped many families avoid the physical and financial strain of traveling out of state for essential treatment. The event concluded with a formal felicitation of the survivors.
Reflecting on the impact of these personal stories, the hospital shared a final tribute to the attendees. "Every survivor’s journey is a testament to the power of hope, medical excellence, and human resilience. ILS Hospitals salutes all cancer warriors who have fought and continue to inspire others through their courage," the hospital stated.
