Itanagar: Hage Mamu officially assumed control as the Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare district in Arunachal Pradesh. She steps into the role previously held by Lobsang Tsering, who now moves to serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Namsai. Mamu brings experience to the post. She served as the Deputy Commissioner of West Siang from September 2023 to August 2025.
A member of the 2017 IAS batch, Mamu holds a Bachelor degree with Honours and a Master degree in Psychology. She earned a spot in the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Programme, a Fulbright exchange initiative funded by the United States Department of State. She is the first direct-recruit IAS officer from the Apatani community to hold the position. She is also only the second person from Arunachal Pradesh ever selected for this fellowship.
