Guwahati Man Arrested After Exposing Himself to Student

Guwahati: Police arrested Rajib Kalita on Tuesday night after he allegedly exposed his private parts to a college student near the Assam Forest School in Guwahati. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 pm near a local hostel in the Jalukbari area. Kalita, a resident of Dharapur, faced swift justice from bystanders.

Locals cornered the man. They assaulted him before turning him over to authorities. Superintendent of Police for Jalukbari Co-District Moitrayee Deka arrived at the scene with a team from the Jalukbari police station to take him into custody. The report came in through the 100 emergency helpline.

An official confirmed the sequence of events. "According to locals, he showed his private parts to a woman," the officer noted. Investigators took the suspect to a Guwahati court on Wednesday to face charges. Police continue to dig into the details of the case.
