Guardian Minister Ashwini Ray Sarkar Visits Bongaigaon to Support Koch Rajbongshi Community

Guwahati: Ashwini Ray Sarkar, the newly appointed Guardian Minister of Bongaigaon district, visited the region for the first time since taking office to assess local needs and engage with the community. His visit began with a stop at the Bageshwari Temple, where he prayed for the prosperity of the district and the wider state of Assam.

During his visit, Sarkar addressed the political representation of the Koch Rajbongshi community. He pointed out that the community now has five members serving in the Assam Legislative Assembly. According to the minister, this increased political presence will provide a stronger platform to resolve long-standing demands. He stated, "All sections of society would be taken along in the process of governance."

Sarkar emphasized his commitment to the overall development of Bongaigaon throughout his tenure. He also used the occasion to send official greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, acknowledging his milestone as the longest-serving Prime Minister in the history of India.
