Girijananda Chowdhury University Professor Named Fellow of London's Linnean Society

Guwahati: Girijananda Chowdhury University honored Professor Bibhab Kumar Talukdar on July 8 at its Azara campus. The school celebrated his recent election as a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London. It is a massive deal. The society, founded in 1788, stands as the oldest active biological organization in the world.

The group grants this fellowship to honor experts who move the needle in natural history, evolution, and taxonomy. Talukdar currently works as a Professor of Practice at the university and holds a leadership role at the Centre for Wildlife and Environmental Studies. He has spent years driving research and conservation efforts across the region.
