Agartala: Doctors across Gilgit-Baltistan are back at work in their private clinics. The government ordered a complete ban on private practice for state-employed medical staff, but the official notification has yet to arrive. Patients are lining up again.

The administrative stall leaves the medical community in limbo. Local officials confirmed that they are still processing the paperwork required to make the prohibition legally binding. Until that happens, the doctors refuse to close their doors.

One senior physician stated, "We have not received any written orders to stop our private work, so we continue to treat patients as usual." The standoff highlights the disconnect between policy goals and bureaucratic execution in the region.
