Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Gaurav Gogoi has condemned the recent murder of Madhurjya Barman and the violent attack on a minor girl in Nalbari. He described the tragedy as a wake-up call for the entire state and emphasized that the safety of women and girls requires a collective effort beyond just law enforcement.

Gogoi expressed his condolences to the family of Madhurjya Barman while wishing a full recovery for the injured girl, who is currently receiving medical treatment. He encouraged victims of abuse, harassment, or threats to seek legal justice immediately without fear.
